The Church Empowered

If you swerve your car into a ditch, does it matter which side of the road you’re on? If your car is wrecked and your face is bloody, probably not. In the history of the church there have been many abuses and excesses that have been reacted to with even more abuses and excesses. Nowhere is this more clearly seen than in the devastating division between Word and Spirit. This is why we are beginning a new series, “Church Empowered”, seeking to be a church that loves the Holy Spirit and the Bible that He authored. Together we will be going through 1 Corinthians 12 through 14, and our prayer is that Frontline will be a church filled with the Holy Spirit and submitted to the Bible. Every Christian has been gifted for mission and ministry. All of the gifts of the Spirit need to be used in a way that honors God’s Word. At the end of the day it’s all about Jesus. As Frontline grows in understanding the Bible and using the gifts the Spirit gives, we’ll be empowered to point more people to Jesus. This is going to be quite an adventure together.
